    Breaking Into Acting Seminar

    This Seminar will address how to become an Actor. If you have ever wondered about becoming an Actor or How to Break into the Business of Acting, well here is your Chance!

    This 3hr Seminar will address Questions about:

      7. Doing Extra Work

    Scene Studies III

    This On Camera class is for Actors who have had some professional ‘on set’ experiences in Film and Television work or Independent Productions. This class will explore Auditions, Script Analysis, Character Development, The Camera Relationship, When Acting becomes Art and the Life that happens in front of the lens. All classes are recorded on HD (high-definition) DVD. The work is played back, analysed, critiqued and discussed with multiple takes and directions giving the actors a chance to see what works for them and the other actors.


    Admission:
     Completion of previous classes or interview.
    Date: January 12th  – February 16th (Saturdays) ~ Scene Studies III
    Time: 3:30pm – 6:30pm (Saturdays) ~ Scene Studies III
    Tuition: $425 + HST

    Scene Studies II

    Audition Techniques

    This Intensive On Camera Audition Techniques class takes Actors through a comprehensive series of Steps and Techniques to improve and hone their Audition Skills. This class works best for Actors who have already taken Acting I and Intermediate I or who already have some background in Acting. Utilizing current Film & Television Audition Scenes, Actors will explore the complete Audition process, from the time you get the call to the actual Audition. This class will cover everything from Protocols to Preparation, Cold Reads, One Liners to Entire Scenes, The Camera Reality, Choices and Dynamics, The Audition Frame, Directions and Retakes, Callbacks, and other aspects of the Audition process. All classes are recorded on High Definition DVD. The work is played back, analyzed, critiqued, discussed with multiple takes and directed retakes. Actors will work through 10 Audition scenes in this class.

    Admission: Placement is based on interview and suitability.

    Intermediate Level I

    This On Camera class is designed for students who have completed Acting I, Introduction & Beginning or for those who already have some background in Acting.This class is based on the further exploration of the Acting Personality through the Reality of Being and Doing, the Art of the Actor and the Spiritual life of the part. Utilizing Film and Television scripts, Actors will explore Scene Studies, Script Analysis, Making Choices, Monologue Work, Audition Techniques and the Vision of the Writer.Classes are recorded on High Definition DVD with a Two Camera System. The work is played back, analyzed, critiqued and discussed with multiple takes and retakes giving the actors a chance to see what works for them as well as the other actors.

     

    Admission: Placement is based on interview and suitability.
